미국 밴드 Train 전 멤버 찰리 콜린이 사망했다. 향년 58세.
5월 22일(현지시간) 미국 연예매체 페이지식스는
찰리 콜린이 벨기에 브뤼셀의 친구 집에서 샤워 중 미끄러져 사망했다고 보도했다.
친구가 여행을 마치고 돌아와 사망한 찰리 콜린을 발견한 상황이라
정확한 사망 시점은 명확하게 확인되지 않았다.
찰리 콜린은 1993년 랍 하치키스, 패트릭 모나한, 스캇 언더우드,
그리고 지미 스태포드와 함께 밴드 Train으로 데뷔했다.
두 번째 정규 앨범의 ‘Drops of Jupiter’가 큰 성공을 거두면서,
Train은 2002년 이 곡으로 두 개의 그래미상을 수상했다.
찰리 콜린은 약물 남용 문제로 2003년 Train을 탈퇴했으며,
이후 벨기에로 이주해 영화 음악 제작 등으로 활동했다.
